EG-09 Instrumentation Amplifier The Instrumentation Amplifier is similar to the Operational Amplifier except that neither side of the input is grounded so it has true differential input with a very high impedance and high common mode rejection. The gain adjusts from 1 to 100 x. An output offset provides a ±10 V swing. A front panel switch selects ac or dc input. The EG-09 has regulated ±15 Vdc supplies and regulated ±6 Vdc for operation of external circuits. |

EK-05 Amplifier Power Supply The Amplifier Power Supply is the center of our system of electronic modules, compatible with Project Physics curriculum. One compact unit contains a stable high-gain amplifier, regulated power supplies of 12 and 6 Vdc and unregulated 25 and 150 Vac. The power supply saves valuable class time when setting up experiments and reduces the cost of the system, since every unit does not need its own power supply. The individual modules slide into a connector on the side of the EK-05 and make all of the required interconnections. | |
EK-07 Twenty Times Amplifier The EK-07 is a 20 x preamplifier that plugs directly into the EK-05 Amplifier Power Supply. The gain is flat from DC to 3 kHz, making the overall gain of the EK-07/EK-05 combination 0-2000x. This is especially useful with thermocouples and microphones, which have low output signals. The amplifier makes a useful meter multiplier when used with the EK-30 Six Range Meter. On the 0-2 V range of the EK-30 and the EK-05 gain setting on a 100 x, the full scale deflection is 1 mV. The additional gain is very useful when using low output transducers. |
