EG-28 Microwave Optics Experiments

Many of the experiments with diffraction and interference of electromagnetic waves are difficult to carry out at the wavelength of visible light. By performing them with microwaves makes them large enough to be easily understood. This apparatus permits the study of diffraction, interference, and polarization effects at a wavelength of 3 cm.

The laws of refraction and reflection plus measure single slit diffraction, double slit interference, standing waves, polarization, absorption, and the index of refraction can be performed. As well as the measurement of wavelength using both the Michelson and Fabry-Perot methods.
